Seven Card Stud

Seven card stud is an interesting and very easy to learn type of poker game. It can be found in live as in online casinos.

This game is played with the standard 52-card deck, not more than seven players and only one house dealer. At the very beginning each gambler is ought to make an opening bet which is called the ante. Then the dealer flips them all three cards, two face down (hole cards) and one face up (door card). The dealing always starts from the player seating left of the dealer.

Then the real betting round takes place in the seven card stud. Again the player to the left of the dealer have to start betting. The fourth, fifth and sixth street are actually the face down cards dealt after the first betting round is over. The river is the last dealt card and it is face up.

The main object in seven card stud is to make the best five card hand out of the dealt seven. The act when players reveal their hands is called the showdown.
